  • Players restore a farm in Clover Town and raise blobs that can help with chores or fight in turn-based battles.
  • The developer previewed 22 outfits for a separate Steam bundle that has yet to receive a release date.

Ova Magica will launch November 10 on consoles, bringing its mix of farming, creature collecting and turn-based battles to PlayStation, Xbox and both generations of Nintendo Switch. In a November 3 countdown update, the team also offered a first look at a separate Steam pack with 22 outfits. Developer updates

What Arrives on Consoles

Publisher Top Hat Studios announced the date during its fall showcase. The console rollout follows the game’s May 28 full release on Steam, where it first entered Early Access in July 2024. The game was developed by ClaudiaTheDev and Skinny Frog. Showcase announcement

The simultaneous console release follows earlier changes to the schedule. The team moved away from a staggered rollout and added a native Switch 2 version while working through its console ports. That gives Nintendo players a version for each generation. We previously covered another native Switch 2 release with Minecraft’s upgrade. Porting updates

How Blobs Fit Into Farm Life

Players arrive in Clover Town and turn an overgrown plot into a farm. Blobs can help with day-to-day work and join the player on trips away from town. The same creatures also participate in turn-based battles, giving players a reason to build a team alongside their plans for the farm. Steam game overview

Beyond crops and combat, players can explore, get to know the people in Clover Town and pursue romances. Blobs connect those different activities. Raising one can change what a player is able to do on the farm as well as which options they have when they head out to explore. Gameplay details

What Steam Players Can Expect

The November 3 update put the Outfit Bundle at 22 outfits. An earlier update outlined planned Steam Deluxe and Ultimate editions, with the clothing pack, official art book and soundtrack among the extras. The team said the Steam offerings were going through Valve’s approval process and that it hoped to release them alongside the console launch. It gave no firm date for the bundle. Bundle preview

November 10 is the date for the console game. The outfit preview concerns the planned Steam release, and the developer’s updates give no date for the extras on consoles.
