Key Notes

  • Phantom Blade Zero reached 723,876 concurrent Steam players on October 29, placing 15th on SteamDB’s all-time peak chart.
  • Its peak exceeds those of Goose Goose Duck, Marvel Rivals and Hollow Knight: Silksong, while Battlefield 6 and several major RPGs remain above it.
  • The figure measures simultaneous Steam activity rather than sales or the full cross-platform audience, with physical PS5 editions planned separately for 2027.

Phantom Blade Zero reached 723,876 simultaneous players on Steam on October 29, giving S-GAME’s martial-arts action RPG the platform’s 15th-highest recorded peak. The launch-day result puts it ahead of Marvel Rivals, Goose Goose Duck and Hollow Knight: Silksong on SteamDB’s historical chart.

SteamDB records the peak at 14:00 UTC. It is a measure of people playing the Steam version at the same time, rather than copies sold, total players reached or the combined audience across PC and PlayStation 5.

A Launch-Day Entry Into Steam’s Top 15

The all-time chart places Phantom Blade Zero immediately behind Battlefield 6, which peaked at 747,440 concurrent players. S-GAME’s game has already surpassed several releases with substantial Steam audiences, although Elden Ring, Hogwarts Legacy and Baldur’s Gate 3 remain above it.

Selected SteamDB all-time peaks following Phantom Blade Zero’s October 29 launch
GamePeak Concurrent Players
Elden Ring953,426
Hogwarts Legacy879,308
Baldur’s Gate 3875,343
Battlefield 6747,440
Phantom Blade Zero723,876
Goose Goose Duck702,845
Marvel Rivals644,269
Hollow Knight: Silksong587,150

Those are each game’s historical highs, not figures from a shared launch window. Phantom Blade Zero’s position could change if its own audience rises further or another game sets a new record. For now, the comparison establishes the scale of its opening day without predicting where the launch will eventually top out.

The chart also mixes different business models and genres. Free-to-play multiplayer games and paid single-player adventures can both attract large simultaneous audiences, but they bring players in through different routes. A higher peak is a useful measure of attention at one moment, rather than a complete ranking of commercial performance.

S-GAME’s Martial-Arts RPG Is Available Now

S-GAME’s official website lists October 29 as the release date and marks the game as available now. It launched digitally on PS5 and PC, with the U.S. Steam calendar displaying October 28 because of the corresponding regional launch time.

The single-player game follows Soul, a warrior framed for his master’s murder and left with sixty-six days to live. Its setting combines Chinese martial-arts fiction with dark fantasy, while combat centers on close-range weapons, deflections, evasive movement and chained attacks.

The Steam listing identifies S-GAME Studio as developer and S-GAME Publishing as publisher. It includes achievements, cloud saves and controller support. Those features describe the PC release; the concurrent-player chart does not measure activity on the PS5 version.

What the Peak Can Tell Us

For a paid single-player release, a large simultaneous audience shows that many people chose to play within the same period. It does not reveal how many owners were offline, how many bought the game but had not started it, or how much revenue the release generated after regional pricing and other adjustments.

That also makes it premature to turn the record into a lifetime-sales forecast. The next useful comparisons will be subsequent daily peaks and, if S-GAME publishes them, official sales milestones. They would answer different questions from the launch-day concurrency record.

We previously covered the launch trailer and S-GAME’s plan to bring physical PS5 editions in 2027. The Steam milestone concerns the digital launch already under way, while players waiting for a boxed console copy remain on a separate release schedule.
