Azra Games says its dark fantasy RPG will adapt to foldable screens while scaling to older devices, with direct combat and a November 11 mobile launch.
Azra Games is preparing UnGodly for a November 11 mobile launch, with the dark fantasy action RPG designed to adapt to foldable phones while still reaching mainstream Android and Apple devices. A new interview with CEO Mark Otero outlines that balancing act after the game appeared in Apple’s iPhone Duo showcase.
Otero told PocketGamer.biz that the mobile RPG concept predates these devices. The interview describes a game that scales to new displays while retaining a broader mobile audience.
The CEO says UnGodly supports iOS 27’s Auto Resizability, allowing its presentation to adapt as an iPhone Duo opens or closes. He also describes performance reaching up to 120fps on that device and iPhone 18 Pro models.
Those are developer claims about supported hardware, not results from our own testing. An upper frame-rate target does not establish sustained performance, battery consumption or image quality during a long session. Those details will need to be assessed on the shipping game.
The announced launch is not exclusive to Apple’s foldable. Official listings cover iPhone, iPad and Android. That is important for a free-to-play release: supporting an expensive new handset can demonstrate a renderer, but reaching players requires something that also works on the devices they already own.
Azra’s official launch announcement describes parties of four heroes called Primals. Players switch between them during combat and combine elemental abilities, alongside character collection and team building.
The publisher positions UnGodly around direct play rather than automated progression. Its Google Play listing specifically says combat has no autoplay and emphasizes dodging, positioning and timely hero swaps.
The announced PvE campaign includes a branching story, with leaderboards and challenges available at launch. That combination is intended to give a collected roster a role beyond simply raising a power number, although the quality and variety of those encounters remain to be seen.
The official trailer provides an introduction to the combat and visual direction. It is promotional footage supplied by the developer, rather than a substitute for testing how the controls feel on a small screen.
Azra confirms November 11 for the App Store and Google Play, with Galaxy Store and ONE Store releases planned for December. The game is free to play with in-app purchases, so a free download should not be confused with a promise that every item or character is included without payment.
The US App Store page currently lists iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 as the operating-system requirement and identifies loot boxes and in-app purchases. An operating-system minimum alone does not establish that every compatible device delivers the same graphics or performance.
Otero estimates that this class of game costs more than $50 million to build. That is a category assessment, not an audited UnGodly budget.
We covered Dispatch’s forthcoming mobile release, another example of ambitious games competing for phone users’ time. UnGodly’s proposition is a mobile-first action RPG: its launch will test how successfully that design translates from a hardware showcase into regular play.
Discord’s mid-December rollout will expose eligible new messages from Discoverable Servers to web search, with separate controls for admins and members.
