Indie Game

Indie game usually refers to a project developed by an independent creator or studio without the production scale and control of a major publisher. Team size, budget, financing, and distribution vary widely: an indie can be a solo hobby project, a venture-funded studio release, or a polished title supported by a specialist publisher. Independence is therefore a spectrum rather than a technical certification. The label often signals creative ownership, smaller teams, or unusual design risks, but it does not define a genre, art style, price, or quality level.
