Dead by Daylight is using its anniversary window to bring in Jason Voorhees, one of horror’s most requested icons. PC Gamer reported the addition alongside Behaviour Interactive’s broader plans for the game’s future.
The Jason reveal matters because the character has long been one of the most obvious missing names in Dead by Daylight‘s horror crossover roster. Adding him gives Behaviour a major anniversary headline and another reason for lapsed players to return.
The studio also teased a major visual overhaul, including improvements to models, lighting, environments, weather, and animation. That kind of work is important for a live-service game that has survived for a decade but still needs to feel modern beside newer horror releases.
The announcement reinforces Dead by Daylight‘s unusual staying power. Few multiplayer horror games remain culturally active for this long, and Behaviour is clearly treating the next phase as an upgrade cycle rather than a slow fade.
