Housemarque has released Saros: Zenith, a free update adding boss rush, New Game+ and more ways to adjust the action game’s difficulty. The studio’s announcement confirms that the October 19 update is available to everyone who already owns Saros, with no separate content purchase required.
New accessibility options include adjustable game speed, which gives players more time to read attacks without reducing the number of projectiles. It can be activated manually or set to engage during combat. Auto-fire shoots when the player aims at an enemy, while leaving the timed reload action in their hands; motion-sensor aiming adds another control option.
The official page describes Eclipse Layers as a New Game+ mode for players who have finished the campaign. It sends them through a harder version of the game with additional progression and Carcosan Modifiers. Players choose their challenges rather than entering a single fixed difficulty, with new secrets and trophies providing reasons to explore the altered runs.
Overlord Rush focuses that replayability on the main game’s bosses. Two sets contain three Overlords each, while Totality strings all eight into a continuous gauntlet. Integrated leaderboards allow comparisons with other players, including filtering global results by main weapon. Those online comparisons require an internet connection and a PlayStation account.
Saros is Housemarque’s single-player PS5 action game set on the changing world of Carcosa, where Soltari enforcer Arjun Devraj searches for answers beneath an ominous eclipse. Its mix of shooting, movement and defensive actions remains the foundation of Zenith. The update gives newcomers more control over that combat while offering players who have already cleared the story a separate set of endurance and scoring challenges.
