Key Notes
- SecretVerse says +1 Speed Keyboard Escape generated $20–30 million in six months, a game-revenue claim that does not establish one developer’s personal profit.
- Loki used AI to build an initial game for his sister before a team formed around it, while Twitch and TikTok broadcasts helped attract players without paid advertising.
- Donation-triggered events let viewers affect streams, and the studio now operates several Roblox games while planning further releases and brand partnerships.
SecretVerse says its Roblox game +1 Speed Keyboard Escape generated between $20 million and $30 million in revenue over six months, turning a small personal project into the foundation of a growing French studio. The game also passed 6 billion visits during that period.
The figures come from a BFM Tech report by Salomé Ferraris, who attended a press briefing with SecretVerse chief operating officer Aurélien Reynard.
An AI Prototype Made for His Sister
The project began with Loki, who wanted to make a game for his sister. BFM reports that he relied on AI for the first version because he lacked game-development experience. Aurélien Reynard, known as Chichine, joined after seeing its potential, and the team grew to six within weeks.
SecretVerse’s team page now identifies Secret Lokii as CEO and founder and Reynard as chief operating officer. It also lists programmers, builders, an animator, audio work and quality assurance, reflecting a production team beyond the original prototype.
An early version appeared in January before a fuller release in March, according to BFM. Roblox’s public game metadata records creation on January 18. The six-month revenue claim therefore should not be confused with a game first appearing this week.
The Roblox listing describes an incremental obstacle-course game built around candy-and-chocolate keyboard keys. Each step adds speed, while training and multipliers help players move faster. They run and jump across the course, race other players and risk returning to the start after a mistake.
SecretVerse also emphasizes keyboard-click sounds and an ASMR presentation, combining the appeal of increasing numbers with a setting that is immediately recognizable on a livestream. A visit counter records repeat entries as well as first-time arrivals, so billions of visits do not mean billions of different players.
Streams Turned Viewers Into Participants
BFM says the developers spent nothing on paid advertising, instead gaining attention through Twitch and TikTok. They added a system that lets viewers’ donations trigger effects inside the game, giving stream audiences a way to influence the action.
That changes the role of a broadcast: viewers can become part of the challenge rather than simply watch someone complete a course. It also gives creators a reason to revisit the game with their own communities, instead of relying solely on people finding it in Roblox’s catalog.
Audience interaction and the game’s own purchases are distinct parts of that model. Roblox’s monetization documentation explains that passes grant privileges for a one-time Robux payment, while developer products can be purchased repeatedly. Those are platform options, not a published breakdown of Keyboard Escape’s revenue.
Roblox’s Developer Exchange separately allows eligible creators to convert Earned Robux into money under its rules. The reported dollar total does not establish how much Loki personally received after platform arrangements, staffing and other studio expenses.
A Studio Built Beyond One Viral Game
SecretVerse’s official portfolio includes Toons Universe, Keyboard Tower and +1 Speed Soccer Escape alongside its keyboard-running hit. The studio presents its work as a combination of game design, Luau engineering, live operations, monetization and community growth.
BFM reports plans for two or three more releases before year-end and discussions with brands. We previously covered Roblox’s planned creator fees for brand integrations starting in 2027, a separate commercial consideration for studios developing those partnerships.
The AI-assisted beginning is also not the whole production story. Reynard told BFM that SecretVerse wants to replace some generated images in Keyboard Escape and collaborate with artists opposed to AI. The studio’s next challenge is retaining players and building further games around the audience its first hit established.
