Cross-Play

Cross-play connects multiplayer communities that would otherwise be separated by platform, such as PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, or mobile. A game may support every platform together, limit certain combinations, or let users opt out. Account systems, network services, updates, moderation, and platform policies all influence how it works. Competitive games sometimes separate players by input method because mouse, controller, and touch controls behave differently. Cross-play refers to playing together; it does not automatically mean purchases, saves, or progression travel between platforms.
