Anti-Cheat

Anti-cheat is the combination of software, server rules, detection methods, and enforcement used to protect competitive integrity. It may scan for modified code, verify game files, analyze impossible behavior, secure network traffic, or keep important calculations on trusted servers. Detection is only one layer: developers also investigate reports, issue suspensions, reverse fraudulent rewards, and update the game as new exploits appear. Some anti-cheat tools run with deep operating-system access, which can improve visibility but also raises privacy, security, and compatibility concerns. Effective programs balance accuracy with the risk of false positives.
